A serving member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Olufemi Richard representing Emure/Gboyin/Ekiti East Federal Constituency has thrown his hat in the ring to contest for Ekiti State Governor in the June 18 gubernatorial poll.
The Former Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly (2007 – 2009) on Wednesday, 5th January submitted his nomination/expression of interest form at the APC secretariat in Wuse, Abuja.
All is now set for Hon. Bamisile’s formal declaration in Ekiti State today. He has vowed to improve the welfare of Ekiti people and bring governance closer to them.
The declaration signals his intention to vie for the coveted number one seat in Ekiti alongside other candidates of the party.
The APC has fixed Tuesday, 18 January for its screening exercise.
