A pro – Nigeria unity and peaceful coexistence group, Peace Agenda has raised the voice in canvassing for peace and unity of the country, pointing out the it is the only panacea for the nation’s socio- political and economic growth.
In a communique signed by its national executives members, zonal coordinators and Diaspora Representatives, after it’s meeting which was held physically in Abuja and virtually, the group firmly believe that proper consideration of the factors of unity by political parties in the nomination of their presidential candidates will play a major role in sustaining peace, and douze the tension in Country.
The Communique which was read by its National Coordinator, Chief Stan Anih pointed out the agitation for the Nigeria President of Igbo extraction is coming at the right time.
Chief Anih noted that the wave of conscience is already speaking to the minds of the members of various political parties in the country on the ripped need to consider and Igbo man for the presidency.
Peace Agenda further salutes the Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his ability to demonstrate peace and unity in Enugu State.
” It is only in Enugu State out of the five States o the South East that you will find peace, harmony and tranquility.
” The majic is that the governor allows the rule of law and plays the politics of inclusion.
Our thinking is that if he has been able to manage a state, coupled with his legislative experience, it will not be out of place to take Nigeria to the desired height.
” We will mobilize support from our members both at home and in Diaspora.
” Our teeming memebers in U K, Canada, South Africa have already made themselves available in this regard”. The group stated.
In his contribution, the National publicity of the group, ………….. revealed that plans are under way to organise a mother of all rally which will be held simultaneously with all it’s branches accross the world to appreciate governor Ugwuanyi for his Peaceful disposition.
