In her week-long video series on Youtube, Titilola Aboyade-Cole; a UK trained Life-Coach, Broadcaster, filmmaker, Author & Publisher of Podium International Magazine has once again lent her voice to the gubernatorial race in Lagos saying, ‘we must preserve the heritage of Lagos and the Yorubas’.
In her latest video where she interviewed Dipo Akinsiku, they both expressed their fears and the possibility of Lagos loosing its cultural heritage and essence should it fall to the wrong hands.
While encouraging Lagosians to vote massively in the governorship elections that’s now been postponed from March 11th to March 18th, Titilola Aboyade Cole said, ‘at the risk of sounding like a tribalist, I know its a very thin line, but I’ll be doing a disservice to my father land if we keep shut and let our heritage fall into wrong hands and we can’t let that happen’.
Dipo Akinsiku also added, ‘its similar to how the Russia and Ukraine war started, we must be good students of history and not loose Lagos. its a very clear statement that Lahgos belongs to the Yoruba people and there’s no need to sugar coat it. Welcoming people into Lagos State is not a problem, but when visitors want to claim what is not theirs, then it means we need to stand up and lnot loose out farther land. This is about the Yoruba land, this is about our survival, we can not afford to loose Lagos’.
