The Automobile and Touring Club of Nigeria (ATCN) has announced its upcoming Motorsport Officials & Marshals Training, scheduled to take place virtually via Zoom.
The training, designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of motorsport officials and marshals, will be held over two days, starting on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 7:00 PM (WAT) and continuing on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
This comprehensive training program underscores ATCN’s commitment to advancing the standards of motorsport in Nigeria by equipping officials and marshals with the expertise required to uphold safety, professionalism, and efficiency during motorsport events.
Speaking on the importance of training, ATCN President, Ishaku Bamaiyi, emphasized: “The growth and success of motorsport in Nigeria depend on a solid foundation of well-trained officials and marshals. Their role is pivotal in ensuring that events are conducted safely, fairly, and to the highest standards. This training is part of our ongoing commitment to developing the sport in Nigeria and aligning with international best practices.”
The sessions will provide in-depth insights into key aspects of motorsport officiating, including race management, track safety, emergency response, and more. The interactive nature of the Zoom platform will allow participants to engage with seasoned trainers and experts in the field.
