The President of the Automobile and Touring Club of Nigeria (ATCN), Ishaku Bamaiyi Esq., has extended heartfelt congratulations to Mallam Shehu Dikko on his recent appointment as Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In his congratulatory message, Bamaiyi highlighted Dikko’s extensive experience and impressive track record in sports administration, describing his appointment as a well-deserved and strategic decision. “On behalf of the ATCN, an affiliate of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), and the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA), I heartily felicitate with Mallam Shehu Dikko on his appointment,” Bamaiyi said.
Bamaiyi also commended President Tinubu for making an excellent choice, noting that Dikko’s previous roles, including his service as a Consultant to the National Football Federation (NFF), his position as Second Vice President of the NFF for eight years, and his chairmanship of the League Management Company (LMC), have equipped him with the experience needed to take on this critical national role. He also pointed out that Dikko’s involvement with major football bodies like CAF and FIFA further affirms his deep expertise in sports development.

On behalf of the Automobile and Touring Club of Nigeria (ATCN), an affiliate of the FIA, FIM and FIVA, I heartily felicitate with Mallam Shehu Dikko, on his well-deserved appointment as Chairman, of the National Sports Commission (NSC), by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Having served as a Consultant to the National Football Federation (NFF), Second Vice President of the NFF for about eight years, Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC), and also held positions in CAF and FIFA, it is clear that President Tinubu has made a good choice in appointing Mallam Shehu Dikko, as NSC Chairman. We are certain that Mallam Dikko is bringing on board a wealth of experience in sports administration and development.
While congratulating Mallam Dikko, I am seizing this opportunity to also appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for putting a round peg in a round hole with this appointment.
