Two things have happened to me this morning. One I have been accused by some elements that I have been paid to smeer the very good name of this powerful church whose GO drinks tea regularly with the almighty. Me i am just looking at these people.
Instead of them to launch holy crusade to come and catch me and baptise me, they are trying to spoil my name, that somebody paid me to spoil their own name.
The second one is that, as i am sitting on my own again and minding my business , they called me again o, took me to Cactus Restaurant and started opening portal of the church to show me exactly how the open heavens are sold and how the funds are being moved.
I was very reluctant to view the portal but curiosity took the better of me. The argunent earlier was that the book was free online and that there was no compulsion to buy by members.
My squealler who offered to buy me food at Cactus and which I refused cos there was no afang-this one does not even know how to bribe somebody sef, he dey offer me cupcake mshewww- insisted that those who were talking could not engage cos this was ‘above their pay grade’.
He opened the portal o and the thing asked him if he wanted to enter as a Provisional pastor or parish pastor. Bro put him level and voila i see everything o.
Then he went to the book selling person and the thing opened and the figures came tumbling down. My person has some churches under him and the figures showed.
He explained that at the begining of the month, figures are deducted upfront according to the nunber of adults in each parish and the money is sent to National and from there, he could not say.
Then he showed me the sharing formula of proceeds. National took like 50% bulk and the parish took like 36% others took the rest.
He now showed me a memo which told me clearly where the PHCN people got their band A and band B .. So Parishes in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt are Band A while parishes in Shomolu would be band C.
My people, as i look at the thing, i didnt see anything wrong in the process and structure. So Baba write Book, he use him structure up sell the book, collect the money upfront and the money goes to National.
So I ask him, from National where does the money go. No answer and i say, bro if i were Baba i will do same. There is nothing wrong with upselling and using structure for collection wether it is upfront or not but he countered that his share of the proceeds is not enough for him to use run parish.
I say my brother, u either fight for an incresse, take over the church or you leave. There is no compulsion to remain a pastor or member and he say but they are not paying tax on the books sold and I say, that is Government problem, that this portal he is showing me, he can take to FIRS or LiRS and let them handle it or better still he champion reforms if he sees anything wrong
At that point and since he hadnt compromised me with afang, my investment banking head start to work. With over 3m members worldwide, the church is such a huge enterprise and running it would be a huge task.
So revenues and funds most be mobilised and if it is to sell book so be it. Church gets revenues from tithes, contributions, donations and things like this and from what I have seen of this portal, the transparency and professionalism is even making shame catch me for attacking the church in the first place.
Baba is entitled to his royalties for such a wonderful book that I have never seen and if the church decided to help him collect the funds for a fee or for nothing, there is nothing worong with that afterall is it not where person they work, he dey chop?
All these now brings us back to the issue of spirituality and church administration. I think a chinese wall should be built to ensure that they dont affect each other.
GO can feel free to be drinking tea with God while professionals run the admin side of things with utmost professionalism and with integrity.
Las las let me appeal to church to kindly increase the share to the parish especially from the tithe side of things to enable dem cover diesel and birthday party costs so that there is no rebellion.
In conclusion while my squealer was correct to an extent that the funds where deducted upfront and compulsorily, he wasnt able to show by concrete evidence that the funds were going to any personal pockets and even if they were I see nothing wrong in it as long as the royalty is taxed.
I have advjsed him to go and do 40 days fasting and repent and not call me to join in any fasting o cos its the sexual abstinence that me i cannot do.
