Okwudili Umenyiora; the founder and CEO of Dilly Motors, has celebrated his brother for his role in opening a pathway for the NFL to groom African players with a developmental camp in Africa.
The prestigious league announced that a three-day camp will take place in Africa this June and will feature players who previously participated at regional events led by Nigeria’s Osi Umenyiora, the two-time Super Bowl-winning defensive end with the New York Giants.
According to Okwudili Umenyiora, ‘what my brother Osi Umenyiora has achieved is no mean feat and I’m super proud of him, this is just the beginning of greater things for the African continent especially because Osi is highly revered and a true legend of the game’.
Meanwhile, NFL team New York Giants made a huge statement and created some intriguing buzz recently after it announced that the outfit has signed a noteworthy and unforeseen prospect in Nigeria’s Roy Mbaeteka, an NFL International Pathway player from Nigeria, who just started playing football last year.
Giants legend, Osi Umenyiora discovered Roy and believes he’s built to play offensive tackle. Giants liked what they saw and will give him a chance despite Roy Mbaeteka having no high school or college football experience.
