A New Year is upon us and Publisher of inspirational Christian devotional Our Daily Manna, Bishop Chris Kwakpovwe has shared some insights on how to navigate the New Year to unlock divine blessings and walk with Go to achieve our goals in 2022.
The highly respected Pharmacist-turned-preacher during the first sermon of the year said emphasis this year should not be on aimless New Year resolutions, but rather should be a determination to ALLOW GOD DO HIS WORK. God will ALWAYS DO HIS PART, but HOW ABOUT YOUR PART?
Many people become their own devils because they forget that success in life and ministry is a partnership venture between God and man.
Instead of wasting time with New Year wishes and resolutions, just do your part of the partnership; “Make A Plan and Go For It.”
Instead of New Year wishes and resolutions; for your money: ‘Reduce your sleep to 5/7 hours a day, watch less TV. Reduce your time on social media, CUT OFF wrong associations, Increase your WORK TIME. Plan everything you want do, AVOID IMPULSIVE SPENDING and don’t try to COMPARE YOURSELF with anybody while “depressing” yourself in the process. Don’t live above your means. Your Children’s school fees, your accommodation and your general lifestyle must be within your planned income range’.
Instead of New Year wishes and resolutions; for your Love life: ‘make yourself lovable, be honest and sincere in your relationships’.
Instead of New Year wishes and resolutions; for your peace of mind and happiness, ‘follow peace with all men and love your neighbour as thyself’.
Instead of New Year wishes and resolutions, For your health, ‘‘Watch your diet, do more exercises, worry less, live a healthy life’.
Instead of New Year wishes and resolutions, ‘determine and be deliberate about forgiving people around you’.
Instead of New Year wishes and resolutions, ‘pray more! DON’T POSTPONE YOUR PRAYER TIMES. This is the only way to get to the THRONE OF GRACE and obatin favour/HELP in the TIME OF NEED.
Instead of New Year wishes and resolutions, ‘live a balanced life, determine to finish reading the bible this year and walk with God’.
Instead of New Year wishes and resolutions, ‘focus on God and don’t look up to man. A man can promise and fail but God will never disappoint you’.
Bishop Chris Kwapove also highlighted some of the programmes the ODM Ministry Worldwide has lined up for the year starting with the 21-days prayers and fasting scheduled to kick off on January 8th and run till the 28th of January 2022. While the ANNUAL ANOINTING SERVICE will be held on January 29th at the church headquarters in Ogudu, Lagos.
He wrapped up by saying. ‘I pray for everyone to receive the power and grace to live a good life in this New Year. Save something monthly no matter how small, put God first, spend time with his word; This Is Your Year.
