MTN Nigeria hosted a 3-day event to celebrate its sales team and partners across the country. The annual sales conference, with the theme “LEAD: Lead, Evolve, Attain, Dominate,” kicked off the festivities. The conference was held to support the company’s trading partners and prepare them for the challenges of the coming year. An award ceremony was held on February 16, 2023, at the Lagos Continental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, to honour the employees and partners who had performed exceptionally during the previous year.
It was a night of glamour and excitement with the theme “Ain’t no party like a Lagos party,” and attendees were expected to arrive in their “Owambe” attire. The well-attended event kicked off at 7 p.m. with guests arriving on the yellow carpet in their various African attire, ready for the awards ceremony.
At the Gala Night, winners in a variety of categories, including customer acquisition partner of the year, data trade partner of the year, and best sales and trade delivery manager of the year, amongst others, were honoured. Damola Adegboye served as the event’s host, ensuring that everyone had a good time all night long.
Olusina Adegoke, Chief Sales and Distribution Officer, MTN Nigeria, congratulated the winners and expressed gratitude to the network and contributions of MTN’s sales and distribution partners, highlighting how much the company’s outstanding performance can be attributed to their hard work and commitment and promising them a stronger relationship in 2023.
The highlight of the evening came when MTN gave a new Toyota Rush as a reward to Adenike Odewumi, managing director of Golad Communications, for being its most exceptional partner of the year.
The Chief Human Resource Officer, Esther Akinnukawe, MTN Nigeria, gave Adenike Odewumi special recognition as the emerging winner of the Fortune 100 category during the award presentation.
The event ended on a high note, with a stage performance by Remilekun Safaru, aka Reminisce.
