My attention has been drawn to the viral reports and videos circulating on social media purporting and showing a group of individuals under the aegis of ‘Yoruba Self Determination Coalition’ (YSDC) endorsing the candidature of the All Progressive Congress’s (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2023 elections.
I wish to categorically state that I, Sunday Igboho and the leadership of the Yoruba Nation Movement alongside the Yoruba Self Determination Movement (YSDM) under the leadership of Professor Banji Akintoye have NOT and will NOT endorsed any politician ahead of the 2023 elections.
I have NOT and will NOT send anyone on my behalf to endorse any candidate, please take note that those who have endorsed candidates on their own have done so purely out of their free will without my blessing or instructions.
I remain devoted and committed to the actualisation of a free and independent Yoruba Nation. The Nigerian Nation has not worked and is currently not working for us.
Once again, in very clear terms, I have NOT and will NOT endorse Bola Tinubu. I remain committed to the rights of the Yoruba People to self determination.
