Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe is known for his philanthropic nature and the compassion he shows towards those in need. He is the founder of the Genesis Global Church, which is located in Nigeria. The Man of God ran into this elderly woman while she was cleaning the dust and grime off the city’s roads. The popular prophet who was in company of some of his church members approached the woman and gave her loads of cash. After the cash gift, Prophet Israel asked her what kind of business she would love to do. The woman said she would love to sell foodstuff. Three weeks after his encounter with the woman, Prophet Israel surprised her with a well stocked shop. The Genesis Global General Overseer also visited this woman’s house where he met with her neighbors and landlord. He lauded the Landlord for his kind gesture towards Mama, and promised to erect a borehole water in their premises as soon as possible.
Prophet Isreal is also known for empowering widows and youths in the community where his church is situated. He also helps the widows and the elderly with free medical checkups.
The Man of God’s desire to always help the needy is born out of his poor background. He grew up in a poor household with his mother and siblings. Despite his mother’s best efforts, they struggled to make ends meet and often went without basic necessities. His mother worked long hours at low-paying jobs, but her health began to deteriorate due to the stress and strain of trying to provide for her family.
Despite the difficulties they faced, Israel’s mother never lost her spirit or her determination to provide a better life for her children. However, as he grew older, Israel couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of frustration and sadness as he watched his mother suffer. So, from a young age, Israel made a promise to himself to work hard and become successful so that he could help others who were in the same situation as his mother. He did all sorts of jobs including bus conductor, drumming for musicians etc just to support his family.
