On Saturday 5th of February 2022, Shina Peller; a member of the House of Representatives, Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, Iwajowa Federal constituency hosted the maiden edition of the Progressive Youth Festival, where thousands of youths across six states of South-West geo-political zone and Kwara state converged at Liberty Stadium, Ibadan in Oyo State to make a resounding statement that it is YOUTH O’CLOCK.
According to Shina Peller, ‘the festival is one of the numerous ways through which we intend to strategically advocate and position young people for political leadership in 2023, as it is time to leverage on our strength to effect positive change that would transform the country into a land of our dream’.
‘We realised that in achieving this, there is need for youths to possess their PVCs and party membership cards, as the two remain our vital tools’.
In attendance at the festival were the APC National Youth Leader, Barrister Ismael Ahmed, APC Deputy National Youth Leader, Afeez Bolaji Repete, Kabir Aregbesola, Idris Ajimobi, Derinsola Abiola, Seyi Adisa, Abisoye Fagade, Lanre Oyegbola, Segun Dada, Dayo Iyaniwura, Babajide Akeredolu, Kunle Oyewumi and others.
Also, we had on ground popular musicians such as Saheed Osupa, Portable popularly known as Zazu Zeh, Airboy, Eleniyan as well as nollywood actors and actresses like Okunnu, Jigan, Kunle Afod, Aisha Lawal, Kamilu Kompo and others who had all come to identify with us and our course.
