“The Enemy Within” – YSDM General Secretary, Moses Ojo Writes

Published by

Gracious greetings to all Yoruba men, women and children, and particularly to my fellow Yoruba compatriots in our self-determination struggle. I have the pleasure of delivering best wishes from our National Leader and the Oracle of our time, Professor Banji Akintoye, to all sons & daughters of Oduduwa in the homeland as well as in the Diaspora. May God watch over all of you individually and grant us our collective desire of a truly sovereign homeland – Our Yoruba Nation.

Progressively since Nigeria’s independence in 1960, the expectation by our Yoruba people that they would live in a free, fair, and just society of peoples coexisting in safety and in security with one another in Nigeria, has been frustrated byforeign and domestic enemies.

The foreign imperialists’ regional design is to keep our nation perpetually subjugated and the domestic enemies’ design is to maintain the status quo through traitorous acts of betrayal and sabotage. The foreign enemies, the Fulani marauders, backed by their imperialist colonial masters, seized political power in Nigeria with the intent of using deadly force some day to seize the homelands of Nigeria’s indigenous peoples, including taking the homeland of the indigenous Yoruba people away from our Yoruba citizens and turning it into  their own Fulani homeland.

Unfortunately, we have our own blood brothers and sisters who have sold their souls for pennies to these foreigners. These Yoruba traitors are those I refer to as the enemies within. At critically significant points in the history of our nation’s struggles for security or self-determination, they have joined Yoruba patriotic organizations and groups, artfully appeared to be Yoruba ‘leaders’, but harboring hidden purposes of engineering and fomenting  disunity amongst the Yoruba organizations and groups, so as to ensure the failure of the organizations’ and groups’ Yoruba interests and objectives.

From the early 1960s and through the IBB/Abacha regimes, some of us may recall the names of some of our clansmen who were given lifetime appointments to ensure that the Yorubas do not have one voice over Yoruba interests.

For this, they received hefty financial compensations and were assured continued influential benefits from every Fulani-lead administration and from the surreptitious Fulani cabal. This is what emboldened General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida to say, “if I am sleeping and I hear the Yorubas beating the drums of war, I would go back to sleep.” In short, some people in high Fulani eminence are confident that they have among Yoruba people some Yoruba persons who will frustrate any Yoruba plans for the good and interest of the Yoruba nation.

At this stage of the Yoruba Nation struggle, it is glaring that we cannot afford to keep rotten tomatoes mixed and covered in the same basket with healthy ones. It is with measured caution therefore that I’m firing this salvo as a warning shot to those Yorubas whom we know very well to be enemies of the Yoruba people and enemies the current Yoruba struggle for self-determination.

From the years of IBB and Abacha, Chief Tola Adeniyi was contracted by the Fulani cabal to do their bidding and he’s since been enjoying the benefits of his betrayal. I make bold to disclose to all Yoruba people also that it was Chief Tola Adeniyi who engaged the pioneer of Ominira 2022 campaign to get into our struggle and attempt to derail our Yoruba Nation movement. We are all witnesses to the terrible setback the Ominira 2022 traitors caused our self-determination struggle.

The Yoruba Nation struggle is nearing its victorious end. The Nigeria experiment, viciously degraded year by year since 1960 and very heavily degraded in 2015 to 2023, is unraveling more and more pathetically day by day.

Our truthful push for peaceful separation from Nigeria is receiving the audience it needs worldwide and our enemies are becoming more desperate. In their desperation, they are stepping up their hitherto hidden attacks on our struggle and our institutions, but we must warn that we are prepared to take them on as needed. The Yoruba Self Determination Movement (YSDM) is determined to confront this menace amongst us with overwhelming disclosures in the public space. We will engage these forces of evil every step of the way with our weapon of truth.

I call on every Yoruba son and daughter to keep a daily diary of the events that will unfold between the Yoruba people’s exit from Egypt in Nigeria and our arrival in Cannan proverbially speaking. The final plague of Nigeria is out and about. Nigeria’s Pharoah is unrepentant, but the Oracle of the Yoruba race is determined to get us out safely to our homeland. The red sea is waiting to deliver justice to the enemies of our victorious journey home.

A word is enough for the wise.

May God bless our Yoruba patriots, may God bless the YSDM, and may God bless our Yoruba Nation.

Yours Sincerely,

Moses Abiodun Ojo.
